Writer's Block: Talk to the animals

Well seeing as I already talk to animals as though they can understand me I probably would be quite happy! I already assume everyone thinks I'm nuts so I would try to share it with others, but just close friends. People that wouldn't have me shipped off to an insane asylum. I'd probably have wonderful conversations with them and I'd definitely read to them. I always read to my pets, so it works. I'd make sure to ask them what they like, and I'd want to know of any problems they're having, so I can keep them happy and healthy.

Writer's Block: I can walk under ladders

Well, I believe in a lot of things. I do believe in luck. I for one, happen to have some small luck on scratch off lottery tickets. Not all the time, and not a huge amount, but more than my sister or my boyfriend. I believe your luck depends on many things, but mostly on your attitude. I never go into a game or scratch off or anything luck related with the attitude that I'm going to lose. It just seems stupid to doubt yourself like that when anything can happen. So I don't suppose I believe some people are more or less lucky than others, its just how you view it.

I do firmly believe that every action has an equal reaction. Whether positive or negative depends on the action itself. I'm not so sure where I stand on outside forces controlling our destinies. I believe that we have the power to control our future, but that there are forces out there that start it up. I think lol.

Writer's Block: Invisibility cloak

Oh man, invisible!!! Hmm... what could I do with that? Oh yeah! ANYTHING!!! Lets see, I'm pretty boring so I would probably just sneak into a bookstore and read all day. Definitely go out to the movies and sneak in for free (I'm so tired of seeing crappy movies for too much!) Traumatize some small children, because that's just fun. And end the day stalking my BF at work! Other than that there's nothing I'd want to do. I already get to go into the girls locker room, so there's no surprise there, and I don't want to go to the boy's.

Writer's Block: Another sleepless night

I actually do get occasional insomnia. It'll happen randomly for like week long spurts. Nothing too bad, though I only get 6hrs of sleep a night anyway. Yea it makes work hell the next day, and I usually go home crankier than a newborn with diaper rash, but its not too bad. I have almost no tricks to help with the actual insomnia, but getting to sleep on a regular basis I can help with.
My first and  most used one is music. I'm not talking lullabies or anything fancy, just music. It could be whatever you like, rap, rock, heavy metal, jazz, I don't care. But if you just put something on very low and close your eyes, even if you don't actually sleep, your body will get the idea and at least rest.

My second one is on the same track as the first which is soothing sounds. Yea I know, how corny is that! But it works for me. Now I'm not saying you need to go get one of those fancy machines that plays ocean waves and sea sounds. I went to the Dollar Tree in my area and picked up a bunch of $1 CD's that have that paired with stuff like piano, flute, and koto. I love the stuff before bedtime or in the tub. Its affordable, pretty and easy to do.

The third is a group thing. I like to get petted to sleep. It doesn't always work, but mostly it'll do the trick. I just like the affection of someone running their hands through my hair, its nice and soothing. Rubbing my tummy also works.

And last but certainly not least is Buffalo's all time favorite, reefer. Oh yeah, I went there. Its always such a taboo subject that people would rarely recommend it for something useful. The truth is, it works. I Get just one hit in me and in 10min I could lay down and pass right out. I don't even remember going to sleep sometimes because its such a good fulfilling sleep.

Writer's Block: Categorically speaking ...

If the interior discussion in your head were indexed by category, what would the five most recurring subjects be?

Writer's Block: Kids or child-free?

I personally will not restrict myself in such a way to say that I will or will not have kids. I ca say that right now i don't want kids, and I'm not planning on ever having them. But I don't rule anything out. Anything can happen.

My parents for example planned on having two kids, about 4 years apart. They had my older sister by accident, not that they don't love her and they did want kids at some point. The doctor didn't tell my mother that birth control becomes ineffective when you are on antibiotics. That's why she got pregnant. Anyway, 2 1/2 years later she got pregnant, while on birth control, with me. They still wanted another kid, just not quite so soon, and so suddenly. She miscarried and thought she was done. But she only miscarried one, I was still left. She hadn't known I was a twin until she went to the doctor because she hadn't gotten her period back. He found me still in there. So that's how I came along.

See! My family has a tendency to do what it wants, screw what your plans are! So that's why I make no ultimatums. I knew from the time I was in middle school that I didn't wand kids. I taught Sunday school for my church. I learned very quickly that I didn't want to deal with little rude brats running around all the time! Not that i didn't like the kids, or their parents, I just didn't like the idea of having to be responsible of that all the time! So I decided then I didn't want kids. Even if my man wanted them, I wasn't budging! But the older I got, the more I understood that its stupid to make absolutes like that in the real world, because they're never gonna last. Even if you're fully invested in your decision, it won't stay exactly the same. As I got older, though I still didn't and don't want kids, my reasons have changed. When I was young my reason was because I don't like the responsibility and the fuss. I still don't want the fuss, I also have grown new reasons like the state of mankind. I don't want to bring a child up in a world this fucked up. I just don't want to, it would be unfair to him/her.

I am in a relationship, and I love my boyfriend very much. We're living together and everything, but no kids, ever! He made his decision in his late teens, and it has lasted still. Even in his thirties, he still doesn't want kids. For many of the same reasons as me. We don't want to raise a kid in a world like this, he worries too much about me already, a kid would give him a heart attack. So we came to our decisions separately, but we agree on them, so it works.

Writer's Block: Sending Out an SMS

I text my friends very little actually. My family on the other hand, almost everyday. I live with my boyfriend, so i don't see my mother, and my sister lives out of the house as well. So I text the two of them often, just to talk and catch up. I work at the same place as my sister, she is on nights, me on mornings. So I'll text her to catch up on how her night went and such. or what she forgot to do. My mother and I like to talk about my father, who is a royal ass pain. So I text them for talkie time!

My friends I only really ever text when I'm bored at work, or we're going out or hanging out. They are too busy with school to text me much, but its ok because I work 40hrs a week.

Writer's Block: 420 friendly?

I totally agree that refer should be legalized. Not because I'm a raving pot-head, though I do enjoy the occasional puff or two. I believe it should be legalized so it can be regulated. If you legalize it, you can tax it, regulate it and make it safer to use. Not that refer is exactly dangerous, but people are stupid. Young teens misusing it because they don't know shit about shit need to be controlled some way. Not that I think its the government's job, its the parent's. But that's a whole different topic. The truth is, even though we all hate taxes, and we all do, the government need them to pay for programs and other things. If we didn't have taxes, the government would have to ask us for money, and we would either give freely, or not. How many of you would really donate your hard earned dollars to the government? I know I sure as hell wouldn't, and I'm sure next to none of you would either. Therefore we have taxes, and they tax everything here in New York. Cigarettes are the worst. We have like $.54 added to all of our cigarettes in tax, making a pack of Newports $7.38. Good God!!! Now imagine the revenue they get from that, then triple it. that is probably the way the refer would be because people don't want to go without it, so they'll pay. That and home growers could make a legal living off of something they've been doing anyway! Its stupid not to legalize it.

Writer's Block: Surfin’ Safari

This one is very easy. First off, I don't go on vacation. I'm 20 years old, I work at a gas station, and I ride my bike everywhere. Yea no. Second, I bring my laptop everywhere. Well, not everywhere, but to all the places with free internet. I'm totally addicted to a site called gaiaonline.com. Its this fun little place to hang out and role-play, or dress up your avatar, or whatever. I just really enjoy it, and its the only way I get to socialize. So yes, I'd take my computer with me for fun and probably waste my whole vacation playing on Gaia. Speaking of which, I'm going to get back to that!
